The AQUATIS Foundation invites you to join a unique conservation mission: the reintroduction of the sacred crocodile (Crocodylus suchus) in its ancestral habitat in Morocco. This species, once extinct in the region, is essential to the balance of the ecosystem. In June 2024, sixteen young crocodiles began their journey from AQUATIS in Switzerland to Morocco. They are currently in the acclimatization phase, which is essential before their reintroduction, scheduled for 2025. Throughout this period, scientists will monitor their movements and behavior, gathering valuable information for conservation science.
