GLOBAL HAPPINESS: what do we need to be happy?

November 2, 2021 - May 1, 2022

A Helvetas exhibition on the trail of sustainable happiness.

The "GLOBAL HAPPINESS" traveling exhibition stopped off at Aquatis from November 2, 2021 to May 1, 2022 to present an exploration of different notions of happiness around the world. The exhibition looked at the fundamental question of what makes us happy, and whether this notion is universal or varies according to culture. The exhibition also explored the possibility of "sustainable happiness", a state of being happy that is "sustainable".  that doesn't harm the environment, other people or future generations: a way of questioning our lifestyle that encourages us to think about what we really need to be happy.

FLYING RIVERS

October 12, 2019 - June 28, 2020

The "Flying Rivers" exhibition by explorers Gérard and Margi Moss gave the public an opportunity to discover a little-known facet of the Amazon rainforest's essential role in climate regulation and water production.

This immersive exhibition offered a unique experience to explore the world of the Amazon and learn more about the fascinating phenomenon of flying rivers, the moisture-laden air currents that help regulate the climate and produce water in this part of the world. It was an opportunity to understand how forests can help combat climate change. The Fondation Gelbert and the Fondation Philanthropique Famille Sandoz were the event's main partners.

Around the exhibition, a number of events were organized for all ages, including workshops, film screenings and conferences, enabling visitors to deepen their experience and knowledge of the Amazon and its fragile ecosystem in a more comprehensive and immersive way.
